Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BBVA) stock gained 1.62 percent to $6.26 in pre-market trading. BBVA stock was upgraded to buy rating from reduce rating at Nomura.

Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARNA) stock plunged 3.47 percent to $11.40 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $1.23, a 52-week high of $13.50 and $2.16 billion in market capitalization.

Goldcorp Inc. (GG) stock plunged 3.40 percent to $35.50 in pre-market trading. The company lowered its fiscal 2012 gold production guidance to a range of 2.35 to 2.45 million ounces from prior estimate of 2.6 million ounces.
