  • The Reds are 14 points clear on the top
  • Klopp's side next face Man Utd in the league

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed how his players get angry with him for the way he shouts at them.

Klopp was seen furious at a few instances during Liverpool’s away fixture against Tottenham on Saturday.

The Reds have been in a phenomenal form this season having won 20 out of their 21 Premier League fixtures with a lone draw against Manchester United. They are now unbeaten in 38 games while their tally of 61 points from available 63 is the best-ever start by any team ever in any of Europe's top leagues.

Liverpool, who won the Champions League last season and clinched their maiden Club World Cup last month, are nearing to their ultimate moment of lifting the coveted Premier League trophy for the first time in 30 years.

The Premier League leaders remained at the top after their 1-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday. They are 14 points clear of the reigning champions Manchester City. Klopp was nostalgic when The Reds reached the away club’s dressing room at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was the same place where Klopp’s reign took off in 2015. The German manager after Sunday’s win admitted that they have exceeded the expectations he had almost five years back.

“I don't expect from the boys what we did in the last few years. We tried to build on what we did the year before and make the next step. I realized on Saturday I was in the same meeting room in the hotel as it was before my first game against Tottenham. It was like I was in a time machine – nothing had changed. But the team has changed, obviously,” The Reds boss added in a post-match interview.

After Klopp was seen furious during the Spurs match, the reporters asked if he regularly shouted at his players despite their excellent form.

“Yes. Maybe not the same things, although I haven't written down what I was saying four years ago. The players for sure are sometimes angry with me because I shout at them in the way I do. I've said a couple of times I'm pretty lively still, not as lively as I was when I was younger but still lively!” Klopp further added.

Liverpool’s next Premier League game is a home fixture against arch-rivals Manchester United, the only top-flight club in England that is yet to lose to the Reds in the ongoing season.
