  • Barcelona offering Griezmann to highest bidder
  • Manchester United could be interested in Griezmann
  • Barcelona wants nine-figure deal for Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann's s time with Barcelona F.C. will soon be coming to a close. It appears that the Catalans have given up waiting for the French forward to shine and now they are listening to offers for the 29-year-old footballer.

The move comes just one year after Barcelona signed Griezmann. Barca spent more than $130 million to bring in the forward from Atletico Madrid last year but the forward was unable to live up to expectations. So far, he has only had 14 goals and four assists in 37 games this season, NBC Sports reported. Griezmann is known to be a 20-25 goal scorer but has been able to replicate his success with Atletico Madrid in Barcelona.

Regardless, multiple teams are likely to inquire about Griezmann moving forward. But this early, interested clubs may want to check out their budgets. According to Football-Espana, the Catalan Giants are only interested in a nine-figure deal (offers that are more than €100 million).

With the high price tag, Barca could have trouble dealing away Griezmann early. Management wants to recover some of its lost investments and divert those funds to other star players and potential targets. As of this writing, no team has come forward and deal.

Murmurs are coming out right now over at the Barca camp that some players were not too keen to play with the former World Cup winner. There were also whispers that Lionel Messi preferring to get Neymar back and vice versa. As things stand right now, Barcelona is facing a dilemma and something that could further hurt their season.

With such a ridiculously high asking price, it remains to be seen which team would take the bait. The closest team who could try is Paris Saint-Germain where Neymar could be their offered swap. Griezmann hasn’t played for a French club since leaving Maconnais for Real Sociedad’s academy.

Aside from Paris Saint-Germain, teams like ManchesterUnited, Chelsea and Arsenal have been unofficially linked. The teams could be interested in Griezmann although Man Utd could be the logical choice.

The Red Devils are serious in trying to bolster their attacking options and revisiting a potential deal involving Griezmann makes a sense. Man Utd was another team in pursuit of the French footballer when he was still with Atletico Madrid although their interest was shelved since it seemed pretty clear that he was already headed to the Catalans, the Manchester Evening News reported.
