KEY POINTS

  • Kane has no reason to leave Hotspur
  • It would take ridiculous offer to pluck Kane from Tottenham
  • Kane focused on recovering from hamstring injury

Harry Kane started the season out strong for the Tottenham Hotspur, showing to one and all why he is one of the world's top goalscorers. This was when he scored twice against Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, his first game there.

Unfortunately, the 26-year-old old would be fall prey to a hamstring injury last January. He underwent a medical procedure and this would keep him out of action until April. With the striker out of action, rumors of a possible transfer are up in the air. However, not many believe that Kane will be leaving the team and make an unprecedented move to Juventus, Goal.com reported.

However, at least one person is not convinced that this will happen. Tottenham legend Gary Lineker believes that reports coming out are too shallow and most lack credibility, something he brought up on Twitter. He believes that people making such claims do not have a clue on what Kane has in mind and would best to dig deeper into the matter.

Until something concrete comes up, it would be safe to say (for now) that Kane is happy with Tottenham. The striker is a product of Tottenham's academy system and remains loyal to the club who gave him his big break. But like other established stars, Kane will not be spared from tempting offers. And at some point, he will have to make a difficult decision between loyalty and his financial security.

The case of Kane will take a different twist once a team (i.e. Juventus) makes a ridiculous offer that would be hard to pass up. It is a reality in any sport although Tottenham could opt to match it or at least give him something close. Aside from Juventus, other teams who could court him include Manchester United. They are another team known for spending big on players who can help their club in a big way.

For now, Kane is working his way back to shape and the pause in action could work to his advantage. With the coronavirus paralyzing all sporting leagues, Kane could use the time to heal up and be back better and stronger. Other than that, rumors about him transferring should be taken lightly with Kane seemingly having no reason to exit Tottenham for now.
