Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson are being rumored to have gotten back together and even though the former couple appears to be loved up in public, they couldn’t be more different behind closed doors.

Just recently, body language expert Judi James analyzed a throwback photo of the Duke and Duchess of York with their young daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. In the snap, Prince Andrew’s right hand is carefully placed over Princess Eugenie’s shoulder. Ferguson, on the other hand, is hugging Princess Beatrice.

While speaking with Express, James said that Prince Andrew and Ferguson’s poses as a family unit show their different approaches to relationships and parenting.

“Sarah displays a signature spontaneous open and tactile approach plus a desire to keep her children as close as possible. She binds both arms around her daughter, looking protective, warm, and fiercely bonded,” she said.

Years late, the Yorks once again posed for a photograph while Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were already teenagers. In the snap, Ferguson still has her arms wrapped around one of her daughters, and Prince Andrew has his hands placed over his daughter’s shoulder.

“Even when the girls are bigger, she throws both arms around them and places her own head between theirs in the line-up. Forming the kind of a strong trio of ‘friends’ that they have retained throughout their lives, frequently socializing, and partying together,” James explained.

James also said that Prince Andrew is quite affectionate towards his two girls. However, he seemed more formal in his family photos. Placing his hand over his daughter’s shoulder is a gesture that looks quietly protective and it also encourages his child to learn to stand on her own two feet.

Meanwhile, Prince Andrew and Ferguson have been dubbed as friends with benefits. But the closeness and affection between the former royal couple do not sit well with Prince Charles, who still hasn’t forgiven Ferguson due to her alleged anti-Camilla stance.
