Prince George turned 5 years old on Saturday, July 21, and there are rumors suggesting that he and his family are in Mustique for a short vacation.

Royal fans have become curious as to how the younger members of the royal family celebrate their birthdays. When Prince George turned 1 year old, his parents organized a tea party for him at Kensington Palace.

Prince William’s ex-Principal Private Secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton attended the celebration with Middleton’s family, as well as Prince William’s cousin Zara Phillips. Her husband, Mark Tindall, was also there.

Princess Charlotte’s first birthday party was held at Anmer Hall in Norfolk where Prince William and Middleton lived. Prince Charles, Carole, and Michael Middleton attended the gathering.

When Prince George turned 2 years old, his birthday party was held at Anmer Hall. That year, Prince William and Middleton invited a few young children to celebrate with their son.

Every year, an official portrait of Prince George and Princess Charlotte were released to the public. When he turned 1 year old, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a photo of Prince George at the National History Museum.

“We would like to take this opportunity on George’s first birthday to thank everyone over the last year, wherever we have met them, both at home and overseas, for their warm and generous good wishes to George and our family,” the royal couple said in a statement.

On Saturday, an official photo of Prince George on his fifth birthday was also released. In the snap, the third in line to throne looked mature as ever. He is also smiling from ear to ear.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George to mark His Royal Highness’s fifth birthday tomorrow,” the statement from Kensington Palace read.

In the photo, Prince George is wearing a white buttoned-down shirt and blue shorts.
