According to Katie Nicholl in her book “Harry: Life, Loss and Love,” 11 years ago, Prince Harry went to Lesotho in southern Africa for charity work. At the time, Prince Harry was still dating Chelsy Davy. When the Duke of Sussex was prepping for his trip, he packed three key things that many might find unusual.

“He had packed his only creature comforts: a box of Kellogg’s cornflakes and his mobile phone to keep in touch with Chelsy, and some pens and toys for the children,” Nicholl said.

Although Prince Harry was away from his then lady love, he reportedly enjoyed his time in Africa. The duke felt that he needed to be there and during his stay, he was photographed doing some serious and tough manual labor.

“I’m out here because I want to be — it’s where I have to be,” Prince Harry told the press about his visit to the country.

“I first came out during my gap year and it was love at first sight, it is a wonderful country in spite of its issues,” he added.

Nicholl said that Prince Harry was photographed pushing a wheelbarrow with cement when they were building a ramp. The royal author noted that at the time, Prince William’s brother “seemed happier.”

In 2015, Prince Harry made another charity work in Botswana by visiting Rhino Conservation Botswana (RCB). The duke joined a project to capture rhinos. But on one occasion the team failed to administer enough tranquilizer to the beast and the half-sedated rhino tried to charge at them.

Prince Harry and the other men were dragged by the animal. Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s younger son was lucky to survive the harrowing incident without a serious injury.

In related news, there are rumors that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are having marital issues. The speculation about their troubled marriage started when the couple was seen together at a gala performance of “The Wider Earth” in support of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust & the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy at the Natural History Museum in London. At the event, Prince Harry looked unhappy.

An insider claimed that Prince Harry and Markle had a disagreement prior the outing. Prince William’s brother reportedly didn’t agree with Markle’s move to use an American celebrity magazine to defend herself from the criticisms and harsh attacks she received.
