Latest reports indicate that Prince Harry “has never fallen out of love” with former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy.

Prince Harry dated Davy on and off from 2004 until 2010, and according to reports, the young royal and the Zimbabwean beauty are believed to have met secretly last month during the prince’s Africa trip, The Sun reported. The British publication also stated that the two have grown close again, and friends of the former couple revealed that Prince Harry and Davy are “openly discussing giving their relationship another go.”

“They saw each other recently," a friend told The Sun. "There’s still very much something between them, but Chelsy won’t commit yet because she doesn’t want to lead a life in the spotlight. Harry’s very sensitive to that.”

The friend also revealed that Prince Harry “still holds a candle for her” and even said that the Zimbabwean beauty “has his heart.”

Prince William’s younger brother has spent the past three months on a conservation trip in South Africa. Prince Harry is set to return to London this month to do voluntary work with wounded soldiers. After that, the young prince is expected to visit South Africa and Lesotho in late November. Upon his return to the country, Prince Harry is reportedly planning to see Davy and her family during the trip.

The source even mentioned that Prince Harry’s decision to spend more time in Africa later this year was “no coincidence.” The insider added that the prince has “never fallen out of love with Chelsy” and also shared how the young royal finds Davy as a “strong” and “independent” lady.

“She’s not like other girls… she’s a rule-breaker. She does everything on her own terms,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry plans to celebrate his 31st birthday on Sept. 15 by attending the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain flypast. The 30-year-old royal will be joined by scholars from the Endeavour Fund, which was set up by the Royal Foundation to aid the recovery of wounded and sick soldiers.

Prince Harry has been single since his April 2014 split from Cressida Bonas. Davy, on the other hand, broke up with Charles Goode earlier this year.
