Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do the exact same gesture with their rings when out in public without each other.

Judi James, a body language expert, told Cosmopolitan that playing with the wedding band looks like a self-comfort ritual.

“It allows him to create a barrier with his arms but by seeking out his wedding ring to touch and play with, it suggests he’s missing the back-up and support of his wife here,” she said.

Markle did the exact same gesture while she was out in public this week. The Duchess of Sussex wasn’t joined by Prince Harry when she presented an award to her wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller. While standing on the stage, the “Suits” alum also played with her wedding band.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle also made headlines this week after it was reported that there is indeed tension between them and Prince William and Kate Middleton. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Prince William wasn’t the only person who questioned Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship.

“Other members of the royal family also expressed their unease about their relationship, but Harry was steadfast and absolutely besotted with Meghan,” the source said.

And even though Prince Harry and Markle’s plan to move to Frogmore House heightened speculations they are at odds with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, it is still an exciting time for them.

“The move to Windsor will allow them to raise their children away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. Naturally, Harry doesn’t want to live in his brother’s shadow for the rest of his life,” a source said.

Prince William will also be King one day and his and Prince Harry’s lives are moving at very different directions as early as now.

Last month, an insider also said that Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to move out has nothing to do with their feud.

“Meghan and Harry love the country and their current home at Nottingham Cottage was too small with their expanding family. The new property will have 10 bedrooms and a nursery as Meghan and Harry grow their family and plenty of room of Meghan’s mother, Doria, to spend time with them,” the source said.
