Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been saved from the royal family circus because of Prince Andrew.

During his interview on the podcast “Heirpod,” royal biographer Robert Jobson said that Prince Harry and Markle found an opportunity to stay out of the limelight after the Duke of York got into a major scandal due to his alleged sexual abuse.

“I think with a member of the Royal Family being effectively retired early, should Harry and Meghan not wish they be part of the whole circus there’s almost a path for them now,” he said.

Jobson also said that Prince Harry and Markle could enjoy more flexibility with the help of Prince Charles. If the royal couple would express their desire to have different roles, the heir to the throne could grant their wish.

“There’s no pressure for them now. In terms of defining who they are and what they want to be if they want to spend half their time in America or somewhere else, I don’t see that as an issue,” he said.

Jobson also talked about Prince Charles’ approach as the monarch. The royal author said that the dad of two will focus more on Prince William’s family especially since the Sussexes will be further down the totem pole.

Meanwhile, royal expert Russell Myers previously said on “Pod Save the Queen” that Prince Andrew’s resignation will have a huge impact on Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Markle.

Since the Duke of York will be banned from attending a slew of royal events, the public would see the other members of the royal family more often. This also means that the senior royals will have to perform more duties.

However, Myers said that Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, won’t be affected by their father’s resignation because they are non-working royals.
