Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently left the U.K. and made Canada their new home. Now, a royal insider has shared that Prince Harry has apparently been noticeably happier since the change of scenery.

According to Us Weekly, a source confirmed that the British prince is “much happier in Canada and feels a lot more relaxed.” As for any future decisions to move back to the U.K., the insider claimed that “so far he doesn’t regret the move.”

While Prince Harry’s demeanor has reportedly changed for the better after what was likely an exhausting year, Markle is also apparently happily adjusting to her new environment.

After stepping down from their senior royal positions in January, the couple revealed that they were planning to work towards becoming financially independent. In response, Queen Elizabeth II announced that Meghan and Harry would no longer receive public funding.

The NY Post reports that the royal couple is still on the royal payroll until May, however, after which Harry's father, Prince Charles, promised to support them if they need it.

Despite bumps in the road that may lie ahead for the pair, a different source told Us Weekly last month that Harry and Meghan are “really excited about the next chapter in their lives.”
