Prince William’s awkward reaction after being asked about Kate Middleton following their split years ago has just been revealed.

In an unearthed video from 2007, Prince William and Middleton had just broken up while they were still in college. Middleton briefly left England to spend time on her own, but she and Prince William eventually found their way back to each other.

During one of Prince William’s interviews, while standing under the rain, he was asked how things were going with him and Middleton. Prince William let out a nervous giggle and deflected to talk about an upcoming event.

“I’ve got lots of friends coming. So, you know, everyone’s going to be there tonight, and it’s going to be a great night, basically,” Prince William said.

Prince Harry couldn’t help but laugh at his older brother, and he also teased him by saying that he did a good job avoiding the question about Middleton. Prince William responded to the joke by saying that he was being diplomatic.

Three years after their split, Prince William and Middleton got engaged. During their interview with ITV News’ then-political editor Tom Bradby, the royal couple shared details about their brief separation.

Prince William said that he and Middleton were so young at the time, and they were still finding themselves. Since they were still growing up, they tried to find their own way separately.

Middleton said that she and Prince William sort of just had a brief space to figure things out on their own. She also said that their decision worked out for the better. The couple tied the knot in 2011 in Westminster Abbey, and they have been blessed with three children.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed Prince George in 2013, and Middleton gave birth to Princess Charlotte in 2015. Three years later, Middleton welcomed Prince Louis to their lives. There have been ongoing predictions that Middleton will have a fourth child next year, but royal fans can only wait and see if this will actually happen.
