Prince William and Kate Middleton obviously adore their youngest, Prince Louis, and the two have said the cutest things about their third child.

Born in April 2018, Prince Louis, who was named after Prince Philip's late uncle, Louis Mountbatten, just celebrated his first birthday last week. Following his milestone, let's look back at the cutest comments Prince William has said about Prince Louis.

Forgoing paternity leave, Prince William immediately jumped back to fulfilling his royal duties shortly after the birth of his third child. It is no surprise then that Prince William seemed a bit tired when he attended an Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving on April 25.

But while taking care of a newborn and attending royal engagements might leave him little time for sleep, Prince William said last year that Prince Louis was making his daddy duties a little easier because he didn't have an erratic sleeping schedule.

According to the dad-of-three, Prince Louis was "in good form, luckily," and has been doing "very well" after arriving at their home in Kensington Palace. “Sleeping’s going reasonably well so far, so he’s behaving himself, which is good," he said, Us Weekly reported.

A month later, Prince William might have found fatherhood and royal duties a little too much to handle as he joked about looking for a caretaker for his youngest child.

While greeting well-wishers at Windsor Castle on May 18, the second-in-line to the throne, fans congratulated him on Prince Louis' birth. According to People, he then jokingly replied, “We are looking for a babysitter if you are all free!”

This came a day before his younger brother Prince Harry's royal wedding with Meghan Markle, which Prince Louis did not attend. However, his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, made sure to represent the Cambridge family during the ceremony, acting as a page boy and bridesmaid, respectively.

Earlier this year, Prince William also gave fans an update on Prince Louis's growth during an event for the Air Ambulance Charity in January.

A fan had given Middleton's husband a helicopter toy that was a gift for Prince Louis. And Prince William revealed that the royal baby is now teething and will likely be chewing on the toy, Hello! reported.

"Amazing, that will go down extremely well," he said. "Louis will be chewing that before long!"
