  • His asking price is expected to be around $66 million

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly in talks with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba's agent in the ongoing transfer window.

PSG are expected to rival Juventus in the race to sign Pogba this summer, reported Italian media outlet CalcioMercato. PSG's sporting director Leonardo Araújo has been waiting to bring the 2018 World Cup winner to Paris and now he has been in constant touch with Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, the report has further revealed.

Even Juventus are expected to begin their negotiations with Raiola in the coming weeks.

Pogba, who is currently contracted with Manchester United, is believed to be labeled at a fee of around $66 million, according to soccer website Teamtalk. The fee is less in comparison to his undoubted talents but it could be because he has just one year left on his current deal with the Red Devils. Moreover, his market value has been on a decline and at present, it is around $68 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Juventus could use Cristiano Ronaldo in a swap deal that would bring Pogba back to Turin. Even though the 36-year-old is the best player in Juventus' current squad, it is speculated that he is unhappy at the Allianz club and has been linked with a sensational return to Old Trafford. He top-scored for Juventus in the 2020-21 Serie A season, scoring 29 goals and two assists.

Pogba, who kickstarted his senior career at Manchester United, moved to Juventus in 2012 and evolved as a future star. He netted 34 goals in as many as 178 competitive appearances for Juventus before returning to Manchester United in 2016.

His second stint with the Red Devils has been nothing but a roller coaster ride, both on and off the field. While he has had issues with former managers at Manchester United, his agent Mino Raiola has opened up about the player's unhappiness at Old Trafford on a number of occasions.

Pogba made 42 competitive appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the 2020-21 campaign, scoring six goals and setting up 10 more goals. However, he has had an injury-hit run across the last two seasons. He missed as many as 14 matches this season because of various injuries.
