  • PSG have made a bid for Arsenal's Bellerin
  • Bellerin has been with Arsenal for eight seasons now
  • Even Juventus want to sign the defender this summer

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reportedly have made a bid for Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin at the ongoing summer transfer window.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already spent $54 million this summer having signed Flamengo’s defender Pablo Mari and Lille’s 22-year-old center-back Gabriel Magalhães. Arsenal have also signed Cedric Soares and Willian who have moved to Emirates as free agents. Therefore, Arteta will have to sell somebody at some point this summer. If he can clear funds by selling Bellerin, the Spanish boss would go ahead with it even though he would want to keep the 25-year-old right-back, who has captained Arsenal in the absence of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

English publication The Guardian has claimed that Arsenal and PSG have been in constant touch over Bellerin’s move to Paris this summer and the French side has made an official bid of $33 million-plus $6 million as add-ons for the defender.

It is believed that PSG are looking to strengthen their side after their heartbreaking loss to Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 Champions League final, and it has identified Bellerin as an ideal replacement for Thomas Meunier, who left as a free agent in June to join Borussia Dortmund. The report by The Guardian has also revealed that the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus are also monitoring Bellerin’s transfer situation at Arsenal.

Italian publication La Stampa has reported that Juventus director Fabio Paratici has contacted Arsenal with a swap deal that could see Bellerin move to Juventus and striker Alexandre Lacazetta to the Premier League. The report has also revealed that new Juventus boss Andrew Pirlo is looking to return the team’s layout to 3-5-2, which would require a dynamic full-back or wing-back and has identified Bellerin suitable for the role has been with the club since 2011.

The 25-year-old Bellerin first joined Barcelona’s youth academy in 2003 before joining Arsenal’s youth system in 2011. The right-back, who made his first-team debut with the Gunners in 2013, has represented them in eight seasons now.
