Real Madrid produced a clinical performance to bursh aside Ajax Amsterdam 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in their second Group A game in the UEFA Champions League.

Although Ajax had more than a decent shout in the opening stages, Madrid imposed themselves as the game progressed. A composed spell of possession had its reward as Kaka, Ronaldo, Ozil and Benzema all combined in a brilliant passing move from which Ronaldo scored the opener.

Four minutes before the end of the first half, Kaka scored a classy second. Xabi Alonso long punt downfield landed with Ronaldo who picked out Kaka on the edge of the box. Rather than return it to the Portuguese, who had made a dash into the box, the Brazilian struck a low shot across into the right corner of the post to make it 2-0.

The game was wrapped up four minutes into the second half. Another long ball from Alonso ended up with Kaka who dashed into the box and found Benzema who shot in.

Real Madrid now lead Group A with six points followed by Lyon on four. Ajax are third with one point and Dynamo Zagreb finished the group.
