The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are slated to be revealed in August. Recently unofficial 3D "renders," pictures of dummy models and photos of the cases, have surfaced but now, for the first time, actual images of the Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus have surfaced. Samsung has not confirmed the authenticity of the images.

Real photos of the Galaxy Note 5 published on Sam Mobile indicate that the unannounced phablet looks like the predecessor model, the Galaxy Note 4. However, the design of the handset seems to be borrowed from the Galaxy S6. The handset also sports a metal frame running around the edges of the handset.

The bottom features a speaker grille. Compared to the older model, the Note 5 sports slimmer bezels and it houses a larger physical Home button that will embed the touch-type fingerprint sensor, Phone Arena reported.

As far as the rumored specification of the Galaxy Note 5 is concerned, the device is expected to house a large Super AMOLED display of 5.7 inches. It will come with support for Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is expected to be powered by Exynos 7422 chipset and 4 GB of RAM.

On the rear, the Note 5 will be housing a 16 MP camera enabled with Optical Image Stabilization feature and dual LED flash. The front-facing selfie camera will be of 5 MP. Speculations also indicate that a stylus that automatically eject will arrive with the new Note 5.

In the unofficial images, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is mentioned as Galaxy S6 Edge + and it is seen running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The handset appears like a larger edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

The rumored specs of the Galaxy S6 Edge + include 5.7-inches Super AMOLED Quad HD display, Exynos 7420 or Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3 GB of RAM and internal storage capacity of 32 GB. It will also be housing a 16 MP rear camera enabled with OIS and a selfie shooter of 5 MP. It will be coming with a non-removable battery of 3,000 mAh capacity.

Both the handsets are slated to get unveiled through a launch event on August 13. According to another report from Phone Arena, the Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus are expected to be available for purchase by the end of August.
