The new "Resident Evil 2" remake has recently released a demo that many fans are wanting to try. However, players are only given 30 minutes to play and clear the whole run. Here’s what you need to do in this remade PS1 classic demo.

Once the demo starts, players are briefed a little about Leon S. Kennedy’s story in the "Resident Evil 2" remake. The players then start in the main lobby of the Raccoon City Police Department as Leon and are free to roam around and find out where to go in the demo. However, horrors already lurk in the corridors of the police station which force players to be careful. In a way, hurrying up in a horror game where you don’t know where the enemies are coming from is definitely a recipe for harrowing frights.

If you can move Leon, always sprint towards brightly lit areas to search faster, investigate any important objects and find items to fill your inventory with. Once in the dark, you’ll need to be more vigilant on corners and doors as enemies may lurk. Just to be ready, make sure to point your gun at any door or side hallway that you will pass through, so that you’ll be ready if anything tries to attack you. Enemies in the "Resident Evil 2" demo are definitely surprising and deadly, but they can be stopped in their tracks if you land a good shot in their heads.

For those who might forget the story progression due to immense shock from the fighting in the "Resident Evil 2" demo, the goal here is to attempt to save a police officer from zombies through braving into a locked up side of the police station and bringing him back. From there, it’s easy to know what you should do next even when the game doesn’t give you big arrows or visible objective lists to guide your way. If you really want to go for quick speedrun, other players have posted videos about theirs so you can try doing it for yourself.

Aside from maximizing the limited playthrough in the "Resident Evil 2" demo, it’s also great to appreciate the genuinely dreadful and eerie atmosphere that its dark corridors have. Remember to enjoy the game while doing anything so you won’t waste your time. Capcom’s "Resident Evil 2" remake is slated to be released this coming Jan. 25 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
