"Rick and Morty" Season 3 is ending, but its final episode will surely leave fans with a great entertainment as the series gets political with a twist.

On the Season 3 finale of Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty," the grandfather and grandson duo will be doing a mission for the president. In this promo clip, Rick and Morty approach a man whom the latter addresses as "Mr. President."

"Some kind of alien Booga has infested the Kennedy's sex tunnels," the man says. "I want them hunted down and taken out." Morty is surprised. The man tells him that after the mission he needs to forget about it. "Naturally, you'll forget you saw them along with in order of national embarrassment the Truman cocaine lounge, the McKinley hooker dump and the Lincoln slave Coliseum. He didn't free them all."

According to the TV By The Numbers, the current season of "Rick and Morty" is doing great. In fact, it comes second to HBO's "Game of Thrones" in the top 25 original cable shows among adults 18-49 for Sunday on July 30. The adult animated series had total viewers of 2,859 and a rating of 1.5.

Although "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is far behind "GoT," its performance remains impressive. In fact, it has more younger adult audiences than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's "Ballers." Also, the telecast is in a pre-midnight timeslot when most people are already sleeping before the work week starts, CinemaBlend noted.

The publication added that three episodes of Season 3 have the biggest viewers total in the series' brief history. Episode 4, titled "Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender," had 2.66 million viewers while episode 2, "Rickmancing the Stone," had 2.86 million viewers. Both are among the top 10 most-watched cable shows on their respective weeks. "Pickle Rick" got 2.31 million but was knocked out of the rankings.

As for the fate of the series, RenewCancelTV has noted that Adult Swim has yet to cancel or renew "Rick and Morty" for Season 4. The production is still waiting for pending renewal.
