Rick Perry seems a bit lost.

In a speech at Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire, Perry encouraged college students Tuesday to vote for him, but only if they are 21 by Nov. 12 of next year. Unfortunately for the Texas governor, the voting age in the United States is 18 and election day is Nov. 6.

While some members of the audience giggled following Perry's flub, he continued talking and did not seem to notice his mistake. It is unclear whether Perry is truly unsure of the legal voting age in the U.S. or if he just needs to catch up on his sleep.

Either way, the Republican presidential candidate might have more luck if he did not make such simple mistakes.
