Robyn Fenty, known to the world as Rihanna, is the richest female singer. She has a net worth of $1.7 billion.

Rihanna’s music career started in 2005 when she released her debut studio album, "Music of the Sun.” Her subsequent album releases included "Rated R,” "Loud," "Talk That Talk" and "Unapologetic.” Her last album, “Anti,” was released in 2016.

Throughout her career, the 33-year-old singer behind the hit songs “We Found Love” and “Umbrella” received numerous awards, including 9 Grammy Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, 13 American Music Awards and 8 People's Choice Awards, among many others.

Besides singing, Rihanna has also ventured into acting, appearing in “Battleship,” “Home,” “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” and “Ocean’s 8.”

While it is true that music and acting brought the “Diamonds” singer fame and money, it was not these two that made her so wealthy.

According to Forbes, the bulk of her fortune, an estimated $1.4 billion, comes from her beauty line Fenty Beauty, which is a 50-50 joint venture with French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH. The brand is reportedly worth $2.8 billion.

Fenty Beauty launched in 2017. By 2018, it was bringing in more than $550 million in annual revenues, according to LVMH, beating out other celebrity-founded beauty lines, including Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, Kim Kardashian West’s KKW Beauty and Jessica Alba’s Honest Co.

The beauty line is not Rihanna’s only billion-dollar brand. She also owns 30% of a lingerie brand called Savage X Fenty, which is currently worth around $1 billion.

In a year, Rihanna reportedly earns between $40 million and $80 million from her expanding empire. Between June 2018-2019, she earned $65 million. Between June 2019-2020, she earned $45 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The “Only Girl” singer is expecting her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky.

People reported in November 2020 that the two started dating after years of friendship.
