  • Roman Reigns unified the WWE and Universal Championships at WrestleMania 38
  • He did so by defeating then-WWE titleholder Brock Lesnar
  • Lesnar and Reigns are now set to faceoff at SummerSlam

Roman Reigns has reportedly reached a special milestone ahead of his much-awaited fight against Brock Lesnar at the SummerSlam event.

Adding another feature to his hat, Reigns has completed 100 days as the Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion, according to Sportskeeda.

The Tribal Chief unified the WWE and Universal Championship titles by defeating Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in April. Interestingly, Reigns has defended the belts on only one occasion on WWE TV so far, which was against RK-Bro member Riddle at SmackDown last month. The Head of the Table triumphed quite comfortably at the time.

Reigns and Lesnar are set to face off against each other in the Last Man Standing fight at the SummerSlam, dubbed the "biggest party of the summer." The event is scheduled to take place on July 30 at Nissan Stadium, Tennessee.

It was reported the SummerSlam fight would see the end of Lesnar and Reigns' rivalry. Initially, Randy Orton was picked to challenge Reigns' Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion titles. However, the former was ruled out for the remainder of the year after undergoing surgery.

Meanwhile, former WWE Booker Vince Russo has an interesting view on Reigns' current run. Russo said WWE should keep the belt on The Tribal Chief until a believable contender comes along.

"Bro, I would book it just like they are booking it because there's no believability in anybody that could beat him. Until that person came along that I believe this is the person that could beat Roman Reigns, I would keep the belt on him," Russo told Wrestle Buddy.

Earlier this week, Lesnar made his WWE in-ring return and sent out a warning message for Reigns ahead of their SummerSlam meeting. The Beast Incarnate said Reigns has been "high on the hog" since beating him at WrestleMania. The former WWE Champion called Reigns a hog and said he slaughters hogs on his farm every single day.
