Samsung is now rumored to be working on a clamshell smartphone that is codenamed as Veyron. The rumor mill has revealed the key specifications of Samsung Veyron. It is also speculated to come with a stunning design.

According to Sam Mobile, the Samsung Veyron clamshell has a model number of SM-W2017. It will be borrowing some of the best features of Galaxy S7 such as the powerful Exynos 8890 chipset, 12-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Samsung Veyron will be launched to succeed last year’s clamshell phone that carried a model number of SM-W2016. Like the Samsung Galaxy S6, the SM-W2016 came with Exynos 7420 chipset, 3 GB of RAM and 16-megapixel camera.

The Samsung Veyron will be featuring dual screens. Apart from the main S-AMOLED screen of 3.9 inches that will support HD resolution, it will also feature another full-sized HD screen on the other side of the main display.

The other specs of the Samsung Veyron are currently under the wraps. However, since the South Korean tech giant is internally calling it “Veyron,” it is likely that it will be packed with topnotch specs.

As far as the design of the Samsung Veyron is concerned, its chassis will be made of glass and metal like other flagships from the company. However, there is no confirmation on whether the clamshell smartphone will feature a dust and water resistant body.

Rumors have it that Samsung will release the Veyron clamshell only in Asian countries. As far as the release date of the smartphone is concerned, it is pegged to arrive in the last quarter of this year as the SM-W2016 was released in November 2015. If the Samsung Veyron is slated to launch in November, more information on the rumored clamshell is expected to surface in the near future.
