A small earthquake was hit off the coast of San Diego Saturday morning with a magnitude 4.0 but no damage or injuries were reported.

The quake occured at 7:34 a.m. today, centered 19 miles southwest of La Jolla and 22 miles west of the town of Coronado, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake was felt across Oceanside, Escondido, Vista, Carlsband, Temecula, laguna Niguel and Ladera Ranch, the L.A. Times reported.
