Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have been divorced for over two decades. But there is no denying the fact that the royal couple is still very close.

Every now and then, the former couple still steps out in public together to attend royal engagements. And they also share each other’s photos on social media.

While speaking with Express, body language expert Judi James said that the choice of photos uploaded by the Duchess of York reveals so much about the status of her relationship with the Duke of York.

“Sarah’s choice of photos for Instagram reveals a sense of linear continuity to her marriage and an ongoing, close relationship with Andrew that appears to ignore the historic reality of rifts and divorce. In recent photos, we seem to have picked up on the same family looking as close and happy as they did years before and if we didn’t know the history, we could assume the relationship between Andrew and Sarah had matured normally instead of ending in divorce,” she said.

The body language expert went on to say that Prince Andrew looks at his happiest while he’s surrounded by the three most important women in his life. Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Ferguson seem to give the dad of two all of the attention that he needs whenever they are together.

Another photo that James analyzed shows the former couple laughing together. Prince Andrew and Ferguson look very relaxed to be around each other.

“Sarah is placed beside him in the middle of the pose, rather than flanking one of her daughters. She is gazing up at Andrew laughing like this suggests a very relaxed and close relationship,” James said.

Royal fans are wondering why Prince Andrew and Ferguson have not gotten back together when it’s evident that they still love each other. A royal expert said that the former royal couple will function better as best friends than as lovers.
