Sarah Ferguson was recently praised by royal fans for paying an emotional tribute to the victims of the Greece wildfires.

This week, Ferguson offered her deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of the 187 people that died and 81 others that were injured in the fire in Greece. She accompanied her post with a photo of herself with Greek politician Elena Kountoura.

“In deepest sympathy to all families in the tragedy of the fires in Greece. Thank you #elenakountoura, the Greek people, and services who are working tirelessly in such difficult circumstances,” she wrote (via Express).

Royal fans immediately commented on Ferguson’s post and called the mom of two an amazing woman. One of them said that she admires the Duchess of York so much. Another fan thanked Ferguson for supporting her country.

“Duchess of York, you are an amazing woman. Such a humanitarian and role model. You are still Fergie to the world, loved and admired for your strengths and loyalty to those in suffering and less fortunate and still loved by so many here in Australia,” another fan commented.

In related news, Ferguson made headlines recently after royal expert, Katie Nicholl said that she will be front and center at Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Oct. 12.

Nicholl said that Ferguson will sit beside Prince Andrew in the front pew of St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle for their daughter’s wedding. This will be a bold move for Ferguson who wasn’t allowed to sit with her ex-husband and two daughters at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding on May 19.

An anonymous source told Nicholl that Ferguson hasn’t been allowed to sit close to her family because Prince Philip couldn’t bear to be in the same room as her. But since it is Ferguson’s daughter that will tie the knot in three months, she and Prince Andrew have been directly involved with the preparations.

“Eugenie and Jack are planning the whole thing, but Sarah and Andrew are very involved. Sarah is bringing a very eclectic and exciting guest list to Windsor,” Nicholl said.
