Sarah Ferguson and Prince Philip have completely set their differences aside during Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding on Friday.

One day after the ceremony, the official wedding photos taken by Alex Bramall were released. In one of the family portraits, Ferguson is seen standing right beside Prince Philip while inside one of the rooms in the palace. On her other side is her ex-husband Prince Andrew.

The Duchess of York is all smiling in the picture, and she didn’t look as though was feeling awkward towards Prince Philip when the photo was taken. This is quite different from her body language inside St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Judi James, a body language expert, explained, “You could tell the tension as soon as the Duchess arrived in church. As soon as she walked in, she pulled her arms into her side and put her head down.”

Ferguson and her daughter, Princess Beatrice, sat in the front row of the church. And when Prince Philip arrived in the venue, Princess Beatrice seemed to signal to her mom that her grandfather is walking towards the second-row seats.

“It was almost like the sort of behavior you see at a party when somebody you don’t want to see walks in,” the expert said (via The Sun).

But even though Ferguson acted awkwardly towards her former father-in-law, it cannot be denied that Prince Philip tried to reach out to her twice during the wedding ceremony. James said that the Duke of Edinburgh smiled at Ferguson twice during the gathering.

However, since Ferguson was sitting in the front row, she was unable to see Prince Philip’s sweet gesture.

In related news, Ferguson and Prince Andrew are rumored to be getting married in the coming months. Even though it was obvious that they didn’t act close at their daughter’s wedding, royal fans are convinced that this was just their front to not upset Prince Philip.
