New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, who is suspended for the entire 2012-13 season for BountyGate, filed for divorce from his wife Beth after close to 20 years of marriage.

The Times-Picayune first reported on Monday that the Super Bowl winning coach filed for divorce in Texas on June 14. The divorce was filed on the grounds of discord or conflict of personalities between petitioner and respondent that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents and reasonable expectation of reconciliation.

The couple have two children together.

The divorce is just the latest bad thing to happen to Payton this year. He was suspended for a full season without pay for allowing a bounty program to run wild through his program. The team was also fined $500,000 and lost multiple draft picks for allowing players to offer rewards to knock out opposing players such as Brett Favre in games.
