  • Seth Rollins was previous a member of The Shield
  • The Shield also included Roman Reigns
  • Reigns is the current Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion

Seth Rollins is not even close to being on the same level as Roman Reigns, according to two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

Rollins broke into WWE, alongside Dean Ambrose and Reigns as members of The Shield in November 2012. All three wrestlers went on to become world champions following the group's initial split in June 2014.

While Rollins has won the WWE and Universal championship two times each, Reigns has won the WWE title four times and the Universal title twice. Reigns became the first ever Undisputed WWE and Universal Champion by defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in April.

In a recent interview, Rollins claimed he is better than Reigns. However, he also reckoned that he feels he has always played second fiddle to his former stablemate.

On his "To Be The Man" podcast, 16-time world champion Flair spoke about Rollins during a conversation about wrestlers undergoing too many character changes.

"Look at Seth Rollins. He's been 10 different things. Do you know what he was the best at? Being The Architect. Because he's really strong and technical in the ring. But since then I can't even keep track of all of it. I know why it is, it's all to sell merchandise. I saw where he compared himself to Roman Reigns. I don't think that's even close," said Flair.

Rollins, who currently performs on WWE's RAW brand, has altered his on-screen character several times over the last decade. The 36-year-old wrestler was initially known as "The Architect" due to his strategic ideas for The Shield's matches. However, now he claims to be a "Visionary" who can predict the future.

Flair also believes there are only two WWE wrestlers now who could be on the same level as the Tribal Chief.

"When you start talking about yourself in the same light as Roman Reigns and you look over your shoulder and you've got AJ Styles and Randy Orton standing there, I don't know. He's [Rollins] not even close [to Reigns]," added Flair.

Rollins recently defeated Bobby Lashley to secure the WWE United States Championship.
