Sharna Burgess has revealed that she reached out to Brian Austin Green's ex-wife, Megan Fox, in the earlier days of her relationship with the actor.

The 36-year-old ballroom dancer, who was featured on Wednesday's episode of "The Viall Files" podcast alongside Green, shared that she and the actor chose to take things slow when they began dating.

"We [Burgess and Green] just sat and had coffee and breakfast and talked, we didn't kiss, we didn't try to rush it, we just took our time," Burgess said. "And then I think the fifth date was our first kiss."

She then recalled that four to five months into the relationship, she asked for Fox's number and informed the "Jennifer's Body" star about being around her kids all the time. Green and Fox share three children — Journey River, 5, Bodhi Ransom, 8, and Noah Shannon, 9.

"After we'd been dating for about four or five months I was like, 'Can I get Megan's number? I'd love to text her… I'd love to reach out and say, 'Hey, I'm around your kids all the time,'" she said before adding, "If you ever want to know anything about me or if you ever want to get coffee, let me know."

The "Dancing with the Stars" pro further shared how she offered Fox support. She said the actress expressed appreciation and even thanked her for being "great" with her children.

"If there is any way I can support you in being part of this situation, let me know," Burgess recalled saying.

"And I think she really appreciated that, she said 'thank you,' and she's thanked me for being great with her kids, too," she then said.

Meanwhile, Green, 48, discussed in the interview how therapy helped him look at his life ahead despite his divorce from Fox.

"I think the big thing for me was therapy," he explained. "I was really trying to, instead of looking at what went wrong in that relationship, figuring out what things about me I didn’t like and wanted to better before my next relationship."

The actor noted that he didn't consider his marriage a failure because it was 15 years of relationship with Fox and they have three kids together.

"I really chose to not look at that situation as any sort of failing at all because it was a 15-year relationship, we have three beautiful kids, so it was really amazing at the end of the day," he added. "I didn’t really take it as it fell apart or something went wrong."

Green and Fox were married from 2010 to 2021. Green and Burgess are now expecting a little bundle of joy in their family. They announced the pregnancy in February.
