Sleepy Hollow Season 2
What will happen when "Sleepy Hollow" returns to Fox with season 2? Fox/SleepHollo

Fox hasn't revealed the Season 2 premiere date of "Sleepy Hollow," but it looks like the supernatural series, which is to resume this year, is giving fans something better: spoilers! Yes, that’s right. Executive producer Mark Goffman wasn’t shy about giving viewers something to chew on until “Sleepy Hollow” returns.

What can fans expect in the sophomore season? You might want to hold on to your head, because these teasers will blow you away! The last time we saw our friends from the spooky town of Sleepy Hollow, they had found themselves in a bit of a pickle. From Abbie getting stuck in purgatory to Ichabod being buried alive, it seemed evil was conquering good at the end of the Season 1 finale.

And rumor has it, things are only going to get worse for our protagonists when Season 2 premieres. "With Irving [Orlando Jones] incarcerated, we have to figure out who's going to be in charge of the law and order in Sleepy Hollow," Goffman said during PaleyFest. The producer also hinted that whoever is coming to take Irving’s place won’t be a big fan of Abbie and Ichabod.

But that won’t be the only villain introduced in the coming season of “Sleepy Hollow.” Writers have also developed a character that will give the Headless Horseman a run for his money.

"We're creating a new creature that our team kind of controls but doesn't," executive producer Len Wiseman revealed. "It's a dangerous creation that Headless will have to face ... that's as evil and scary as Headless." But there is one major difference between the new evil entity of “Sleepy Hollow” and the Headless Horseman: a head.

What other drama should fans expect in Season 2? Goffman hinted that the episodes will focus around combat. "It's a season about war," he said. "It's a season about redemption."
