Sony released the power-packed Xperia Z5 series in selected regions across the globe. This lineup is not official in the U.S. yet. However, the “Sony Xperia Z5 Premium’s” unlocked, international variant can now be availed from Amazon and Expansys.

Interested buyers should note that the Xperia Z5 Premium available via Amazon and Expansys does not come with U.S. warranty. The retailers have listed both single SIM and dual SIM variants of the Z5 handset and both devices support LTE connectivity. However, the handset will work only under AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM network carriers, as there is no support for CDMA carriers, Phone Arena reported.

Speaking of price, Amazon’s Xperia Z5 Premium will set the buyers back by $733, whereas Expansys offers the same device for $779.99. The stand-out feature of this handset is the 4K display resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. This device is reportedly the “world's first smartphone” to carry 4K display.

Spec-wise, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display. The screen size along with 4K resolution translates to a killer 806 ppi pixel density, guaranteeing phenomenal viewing experience. Under the hood, the device comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is backed by 3 GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, however, it is upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

When it comes to memory configuration, the handset comes equipped with 32 GB of built-in storage space and microSD card slot for further expansion. There is a 23-megapixel rear-facing camera unit with LED flash, along with a 5.1-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats.

The Xperia Z5 Premium carries a non-removable Li-Ion 3,430 mAh battery unit. Plus, Sony has equipped rapid battery charging feature with the help of Quick Charge 2.0 technology. With which, one can charge the device from 0 percent to 60 percent in 30 minutes.
