KEY POINTS

  • "Oddinary" is the first K-pop album to spend four weeks on the chart this year
  • BTS has six albums on the World Albums Chart
  • NCT DREAM's "Glitch Mode" is at No. 8

Songs from seven K-pop groups claimed top positions on Billboard's World Albums chart this week.

Stray Kids' newly released "Oddinary" is still at No. 1, making it the first K-pop album to spend four weeks on the chart this year. "Oddinary" is also the group's first entry on Billboard's World Albums Chart. The seven-track album is also at No. 131 on this week's Top 200 albums after debuting on the chart at No. 1 last March. Stray Kids is the third K-pop group to ever top Billboard 200 following BTS and SuperM.

The indomitable septet, BTS, has six albums in various positions in the World Albums Chart: "Love Yourself: Her" grabbed the No. 3 spot, followed by "BE" at No. 4, "Love Yourself: Tear" at No. 5, "Map of the Soul: Persona" at No. 6, "Map of the Soul: 7" at No. 7 and "Love Yourself: Answer" at No. 10. The group is set to release a new album on June 10, their follow-up to 2020's "BE."

South Korea's largest boy group, NCT, has two tracks on the chart, thanks to its sub-units NCT Dream and NCT 127.

NCT DREAM's latest release, "Glitch Mode," re-positioned itself on the chart at No. 8 this week, while "Sticker" from its other nine-member sub-unit NCT 127 remained at No. 12 for the 30th consecutive week. NCT has 18 members who are performing under three sub-units since 2016.

BLACKPINK's "THE ALBUM" is at No. 11 as the group made its presence on the chart known for the 80th consecutive week. The group's Jennie Kim announced in January that they were working on new music even while fellow member Jisoo was preparing to release her solo album this year.

ITZY's "CRAZY IN LOVE" album also maintained its grip at No. 13 on the chart for the 28th non-consecutive week, while Red Velvet's "The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm" re-entered the chart at No. 15. Red Velvet's latest album is reportedly inspired by celebrated German composer Johann Sebastian Bach. The album contains six tracks, including "Feel My Rhythm," a pop-dance track inspired by Bach's "Air on the G String."
