Shinpei, Sou and Ushio are surrounded by shadows. However, they will quickly realize the shadows are only targeting one of them.

The official synopsis of "Summer Time Rendering" Episode 11 suggests the shadows are going after Ushio. Shinpei and the others continue to fight off the shadows.

Meanwhile, Mio is trying to reach Shinpei but is unable to connect with him. She fears something has happened to Shinpei.

While anxiously waiting for Shinpei, Mio notices Shiori's hair ties and sees a shadow. The shadow is pointing toward the manhole, indicating Shinpei's location.

Elsewhere, Nezu and Minakata are also fighting against the shadows and approaching the nest. A person later appears in front of Shinpei, Ushio and Sou who managed to overcome the disastrous situation.

It remains to be seen if Nezu and Minakata will reunite with Shinpei and company.

"Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface, something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?" the official synopsis of "Summer Time Rendering" manga read, according to Manga Plus.

The cast of the anime includes Anna Nagase as Ushio Kofune, Natsuki Hanae as Shinpei Ajiro, Maki Kawase as Tokiko Hishigata, Saho Shirasu as Mio Kofune, Tesshō Genda as Alain Kofune, Yōji Ueda as Tetsu Totsumura, Yōko Hikasa as Hizuru Minakata, Akio Ohtsuka as Seido Hishigata, Jin Urayama as Ginjiro Nezu, Katsuyuki Konishi as Masahito Karikiri, Misaki Kuno as Haine (Mother) and Kensho Ono as Sou Hishigata.

Directed by Ayumu Watanabe, the anime is based on the original story by Yasuki Tanaka. Hiroshi Seko is credited for the series composition and scripting.

The opening theme song of "Summer Time Rendering," titled "Natsuyume Noisy," is performed by Asaka. The closing theme song, titled "Shitsuren Song Takusan Kiite Naite Bakari no Watashi wa Mou," is by Riria.

"Summer Time Rendering" Episode 11 is set to air Thursday. Fans in the U.S. can watch the episode online on Disney Plus. The episode will live stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
