Switched at Birth
Daphne (Katie Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) will be forced to confront their problems on “Switched at Birth” Season 5. Freeform

Now that all is right on the UMKC campus following several protests over racial issues that were finally heard by the administration, the characters on “Switched at Birth” Season 5 can get back to their lives filled with drama.

“Daphne (Katie Leclerc) volunteers at a clinic and grows concerned when her medical mentor makes multiple mistakes with his patients,” the synopsis teases for episode 6, “Four Ages in Life.” Daphne, who is determined to become a doctor, will be returning to a place she volunteered at in high school, revisiting a familiar face, Dr. Jackson (Al White).

However, seeing as he is no longer treating patients correctly, it looks like the years may have caught up to him. Although viewers do not see Daphne interact with Dr. Jackson in the Freeform promo, she does have a look of worry on her face in the clip. Could she be witnessing his mistake?

“Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) leads the annual Kangaroo Krawl,” the synopsis says. In the promo clip for “Switched at Birth” Season 5, episode 6, it looks like Daphne and Mingo are at a clinic when she tells her ex-boyfriend that he is taking things too far, to which he replies, “That’s what I do.”

Could Mingo be referring to the costume incident? During a costume party earlier in the season, Mingo dressed up as rapper Lil Wayne and was accused of being racist by some students on campus.

“Bay (Vanessa Marano) finds Noelle (Valery Ortiz) is plagiarizing her work,” the synopsis adds. Viewers previously saw Bay find out that Noelle was copying her work. However, instead of freaking out about her boss stealing her drawings, Bay uses it to her advantage.

In the promo for “Four Ages in Life,” Bay is seen being yelled at by what looks like an angry father. Noelle has let Bay tattoo in the shop before but will Bay make a mistake that will end her career as a tattoo artist?

Elsewhere, “John (D.W. Moffett) and Kathryn (Lea Thompson) try to rekindle their romance.” In the Freeform promo, John quickly closes his laptop when he sees Kathryn enter the room. What could he have been doing on the device?

There is a good chance the couple’s romance has fizzled, both parents are working at the college and don’t seem to spend as much time together anymore.

“Regina (Constance Marie) is put in a precarious situation when she decides to expand her business,” the synopsis also teases. Although viewers do not see Regina in the promo, this season her coffee shop, the Cracked Mug, seems to be very successful and bustling with customers.

While growing her business is a great accomplishment it brings up the question whether or not other things will suffer due to her success. Will her relationship with Luca (Michael Galante) falter?

“Switched at Birth” Season 5, episode 6 airs on Tuesday, March 7, at 9:00 p.m. EST on Freeform.
