Taylor Swift channels old-Hollywood glamour on the cover of Vanity Fair's September issue. The 25-year-old pop star looks flawless in the black and white picture on the magazine’s cover posing by a piano. The cover and mostly monochrome spread were shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino.

The “Bad Blood” singer wears a tuxedo-style ensemble, with a white, long-sleeved shirt and black blazer draped over her shoulders. She finishes off the look with black pants and a matching scarf tied around her neck. Moreover, in the high-glamour look, Swift is wearing her hair long, styled into curls and with no bangs.

Tay gives the camera a sultry look while rocking retro, slicked-back curls. Her flawless makeup features lots of mascara, dark eyeliner and her signature bold red lipstick, which adds a contrast to her blue eyes. She has accessorized with chandelier diamond earrings. She even sports a deep red manicure.

Shot by Testino, the Vanity Fair spread is mature and stunning, MTV reported. The photographer has worked with Swift twice earlier for Vogue and Vogue UK. The pop star sports an array of glam and sophisticated dresses, including a sequinned, zebra-print gown, a fur coat and a two-toned silk dress. She also flashes her legs in a daring black halter neck dress with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.

Swift accompanied the interview with a racy shoot. A behind-the-scenes video from the shoot shows Taylor in a variety of different outfits, where she has ditched her go-to crop top and skirt combo. Taylor’s makeup was done by Val Garland. Her hair was styled by Sam McKnight and her nails were painted red by manicurist Trish Lomax.

In the interview, Taylor notes the change and, obviously, appreciates it, saying, “They usually dress me up like a 12-year-old French boy. It’s nice to be glamorous.” Her word association with London is “Topshop.”

The shoot is proof of Taylor’s ability to wear everything from tuxedos to thigh-high stockings. “I think I know how to put together a good outfit. . . . But any day you’re going to admit to being a style icon is a day you need to look in the mirror and really check yourself,” said Swift when asked about her status as a style icon.
