When Marvel released its trailer for “Thor: Ragnarok,” social media went wild. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) had a brand new look and several well-loved characters and exciting new ones were introduced.

In order to get more fans to watch the trailer, Hemsworth posted a photo on Instagram showing his character with a “moody profile.”

Prior to its release, “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn already raved about Taika Waititi’s new movie, and even said that “Thor: Ragnarok” has by far the best trailer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Waititi is known for his humor and his trademark style will definitely be featured heavily in the new film. In the trailer, Thor had the most hilarious reaction when he came face-to-face with his opponent in the intergalactic gladiator arena.

“YES!” he exclaimed loudly when he saw the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and the crowd watching him was puzzled and went silent. “We know each other,” he then tried to explain. “He’s a friend from work.”

But the Hulk was in a fighting mood and charged at Thor anyway, and the two Avengers geared up for a heavy blow.

It’s clear Hemsworth’s Thor will deliver a lot of laughs in the new movie, but even the usually serious Heimdall (Idris Elba) will surprise fans this time around with some humorous moments.

Elba earlier told Digital Spy that he will have a “funnier tone” in the upcoming film. "Heimdall isn’t funny. You haven’t heard Heimdall laugh, or crack too many jokes,” he said. “But Taika, the director, has done a really amazing job of making all the characters have a bit of a funny moment, and I’m not spared.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released on Nov. 3.
