  • Jorge Garay's boyfriend, Benji Krol, who was also accused, attempted suicide
  • The two broke up due to the allegations
  • Garay apologized to the victim and Krol

TikToker Jorge Garay, who was recently accused of grooming and sexting a minor, has finally addressed the allegations.

Earlier this month, the 15-year-old victim accused Garay and his boyfriend, Benji Krol, of sending him sexually explicit photos and messages.

"They took advantage of my friendship, and exploited and coerced me, a minor, into doing what they wanted for sexual pleasure. They used their power as an influencer to manipulate me into doing what they wanted because our feelings were 'mutual,' 'I knew what I was doing,' and because 'I wanted it.' Looking back at all of this, it is very easy to be manipulated by someone older than you," the victim said.

Following this, Krol opened up and said some of the allegations were true. He went on to reveal the two had broken up due to the allegations and he also claimed to have attempted suicide.

"I still take full responsibility for my own actions. I don't even know the full story because Jorge knows everything else, but I have no way of finding the rest out. I wake up in the hospital alone and now knowing where he was. I currently only know he left me and I assume he went back to his own home which is hours away. He was only briefly spoken to me and has no intention of seeing me anytime soon," he said.

However, Garay remained silent for weeks before finally addressing the allegations Sunday. He said the allegations were true and also apologized to the victim and Krol.

"I have made very wrong decisions and I do not condone them now. I understand how it was wrong and I'm sorry. I always tried to be the best person I knew how to be at the moment. I tried to apologize personally to the person before, now I do it publicly aswell, not just to them, but also to the whole movement that I fully support. All actions I once took were wrong, and it would be unthinkable for me to do them now or ever again. I take full responsibility of my actions and I want the people affected to feel that their words are heard. I did not want to ignore this or invalidate the feelings of the person involved at any moment. neither made them feel guilty or that it was their fault. 'Consent' with a minor is not consent. most cases like these are unaddressed or ignored and I don't want this to be one," he said in a statement.

"I did sexually talk to the affected person and involved Benji without his permission as well as pressured him into it. I'm sorry to both. I will never repeat these actions. I'm aware of the consequences of my actions and I want to make sure I don't hurt anyone like this for my own decisions ever again. Neither hurt someone like what Benji was to me. I will be getting all the help I need and stepping aside of social media. I never meant to hurt anyone. I'm sorry," he added.
