  • Tom Brady called his and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's 9-year-old daughter Vivian his "no. 1 cheerleader"

  • Brady admitted that he's doing his best to "get to a better place and better peace of mind" on and off the field

Tom Brady and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's 9-year-old daughter Vivian is his "no. 1 cheerleader."

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback made the revelation while sharing in the latest episode of his "Let's Go!" podcast how his daughter reacted to him becoming the first player in the NFL to throw more than 100,000 career passing yards.

"She was very excited," he said Monday, according to E! News. "That little girl was very excited for her dad. So, she is my no. 1 cheerleader, and I wouldn't have it any other way."

Brady also revealed that Vivian would often point it out to him if he doesn't have a "happy face" on the field, as he struggles to have "better peace of mind" following his marital woes and divorce from Bundchen.

"My daughter always says, 'Daddy, you did not have a happy face out there.' And I'm tryin', but I wish I would have more awareness of what this scowl looks like. But I'm doing my best to try to get to a better place and better peace of mind out there," he shared.

Brady's comments about his daughter's support come weeks after he made a dark joke on social media last month warning those who may try to pursue Vivian in the future.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion shared on his Instagram Stories a photo of a Halloween tombstone with the words: "Anyone Who Dates My Daughter."

"I want to be crystal clear," he wrote with two crying-laughing emojis and a red heart to let his followers know he was only joking.

Brady and Bundchen, who also share 12-year-old son Benjamin, filed for and finalized their divorce on Oct. 28 after 13 years of marriage. The quarterback is also a dad to son Jack, 15, whom he welcomed with his ex Bridget Moynahan.

Brady spent the Halloween weekend with Vivian and Benjamin. He shared via Instagram a festive snap showing all three of them sporting costumes. The athlete dressed as the Grim Reaper, sporting an all-black costume with a hood that hid his face as he went trick-or-treating with his children.

Recently, Benjamin and Vivian were photographed with their mom in Costa Rica. The trio was spotted grabbing some food, with the former Victoria's Secret Angel looking happy and relaxed during the outing.

An anonymous source told People that the NFL superstar didn't want to divorce Bundchen because he "didn't want the kids to have divorced parents." He reportedly wanted to make things work out and was willing to go to therapy or marriage counseling.

However, Bundchen reportedly felt that his efforts were "a little bit too little, too late." The source claimed that the model had given her ex-husband "a lot of opportunities to fix things" and that Bundchen felt Brady "wasn't as attentive as he should've been."
