Following reports that Katie Holmes had divorced Tom Cruise over the Church of Scientology, rumors about the “Mission Impossible” star leaving the religion for the sake of actress Annabelle Wallis are making the rounds. The rumor, published in the latest issue of OK! Magazine, however, has been debunked by Gossip Cop.

The OK! Magazine report, as cited by Gossip Cop, said: “Tom Leaving Scientology For Love!” The report also said that Cruise and Wallis hit it off during the shooting of their upcoming movie “The Mummy.”

“The actor is so smitten with Annabelle Wallis, he could leave Scientology for her,” a source told the magazine, according to Gossip Cop. “She told him she couldn’t make a commitment to him so long as he was a practicing Scientologist.”

“Annabelle really likes Tom, and she can see herself falling for him big-time. But not while he’s a Scientologist. She has no interest in converting,” the source said, adding that Wallis “inspired Tom to rethink his extreme religious beliefs,” and now he’s “considering leaving the church.”

“Tom has always done what the church asked, but he’s finally realizing what a negative impact that’s had on his relationships ... The buzz in Tom’s circle is that he’s ready to walk.”

The OK! Magazine report also said that Cruise and Wallis “shared a dinner date” with Cruise's ex-wife Holmes and her rumored love interest Jamie Foxx.

Cruise’s connection to Scientology had reportedly caused a rift between him and Holmes, following which the two divorced. Holmes also reportedly feared she would lose their daughter Suri to Scientology because of which she separated from Cruise.

The 53-year-old actor was planning to relocate to the 100-acre Scientology headquarters in London to expand the religion. Renovations for the property were reported to be worth $16 million.
