Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo has lifted the lid on a few important matters.

After missing the Spurs’ pre-season camp, Kane once again became the subject of criticisms as many accused him of refusing to join his team.

To finally put an end to the drama behind his absence, the English national team captain himself took to social media to explain his absence.

According to Kane, he “would never, and have never, refused to train” with the club he has been with for a decade now.

Moreover, he assured everybody that he will make his return “as planned.”

Confirming Kane’s return, Tottenham manager Espirito Santo bared that the striker is now training and is already being worked on by “sports scientists.”

“Yes it’s true,” Espirito Santo told reporters, including Football.london about Kane’s return after Tottenham’s friendly win over Arsenal on Sunday. “Harry is with us. He has to quarantine. He is in the lodge but he is training. Already made the first day with the sports scientists. He is with us. Good.”

When asked about Tottenham’s attack without Kane, Espirito Santo stressed that there are certain “things to improve” while also hinting that it would be a lot better when the Spurs talisman finally returns.

“We have things to improve, a lot of things to improve,” the manager admitted. “Good movement and mobility but we have to improve the final touch, passing with advantage. When everything comes together I think we can do pretty good things.”

An earlier report said Tottenham has already agreed to a fee for the transfer of Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Addressing the said transfer, Espirito Santo insisted that he will not discuss anything about non-Tottenham players.

“I will not speak about any player,” he pointed out. “I will speak only about my Tottenham players, Spurs players, nothing else. Thank you. ”

Martinez’s move to Tottenham is far from being done, and as things stand, it appears that the said transfer is unlikely to happen.

According to Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano, his client is "happy" at Inter Milan and is keen on prolonging his stay in Italy.

"Lautaro Martinez is happy at Inter and in Italy,” Camano told Cesar Luis Merlo of TyC Sports. “His decision is to stay. The relationship with Inter is perfect. Lautaro Martinez is quiet. Yes, it is true that there were offers (the last one is that of Tottenham), but today he is fine and we will sit down to talk about the future.”
