  • Ferran Torres has been making big strides with Manchester City
  • Torres is open to the possibility of returning to Valencia
  • Valencia was forced to sell Torres to resolve the club's financial debacle

Ferran Torres has proven to be a wise investment for Manchester City.

He transferred from Valencia on a deal that included £20.8 million ($28.8 million) aside from bonuses.

But looking ahead, the 21-year-old winger knows that at some point he will have to make choices.

Having scored 13 goals in 36 appearances, the Spaniard’s efforts were enough to help the Sky Blues win the English Premier League and Carabao Cup.

However, in an interview with Radio Marca, Torres could not help but share that part of him is still with the La Liga side.

In the meantime, he hopes the Bats can resolve their issues and that he is not entirely closing the door on a potential return to Mestalla.

"Hopefully, Valencia can turn the situation around because I don't like to see them in the situation it has experienced this past season. I hope everything returns to normal this year,” Torres stated. "I've always said it and always will. Valencia is my home, it is where I grew up and it has given me everything. Why not come back here in the future?"

It will be recalled that Torres was taken in to replace Leroy Sane, who moved to Bayern Munich.

He is considered one of the brightest start ever to come out of the Valencia academy, scoring nine goals in 97 appearances.

But with the need to balance their books due to financial issues, Valencia was forced to sell Torres to Manchester City on a cut-price fee.

At 21, the future looks bright for Torres. He has been performing well under Pep Guardiola and clubs are likely taking notice.

A return to Mestalla is running in the mind of the Spanish winger, something that may eventually come.

But the road back to Valencia may not be easy, especially if Torres continues to show remarkable strides with the Citizens.

In the international scene, Torres has also scored eight goals in his first 17 appearances for Spain.
