  • Arsenal finally experienced a win this season, albeit in the Carabao Cup
  • Manager Mikel Arteta confirms that more players are set to leave the club soon
  • Arsenal's asking price for Alexandre Lacazette has been revealed

Arsenal finally tasted victory for the first time this season, but club manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that there will be more “departures” from the club very soon, including a certain Frenchman.

Alexandre Lacazette has failed to make much of an impact during his four-year stay at the Emirates Stadium, but the Carabao Cup win over West Bromwich Albion could be a sign of things to come.

Club captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the undisputed man of the night as he scored a hat-trick, while Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and budding star Bukayo Saka all scored one goal each.

The performance helped stem the tide of mounting pressure on the club and Arteta as their summer has been lackluster, to say the least.

After the win, Arteta told Sky Sports about their plans for the remainder of the transfer window.

“I don’t know what will happen. A few days to go. Some exits are planned. As you say, this (Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac leaving) is speculation,” said the former Arsenal player.

As for Lacazette, his name has not left the rumor mill as he has been linked to a move to Barcelona but the club has since denied the rumor.

The French striker has only a year left on his contract, and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal wants to keep him.

Should they want to regain some of the reported €53 million ($62.2 million) transfer fee they paid Lyon, they will have to do it this summer.

Journalist Ekrem Konur reports that Arsenal has Lacazette available for sale “if an offer comes in at around €15 million ($17.6 million).”

The club is yet to receive a bid for Lacazette around that region.

Arsenal needs to not get carried with this win as they are set to face the current Carabao Cup holders and English Premier League champions Manchester City this Saturday, August 28.
