  • Crystal Palace is expected to make a chase for Eddie Nketiah
  • Joining a new team next season is seen as the best option for Nketiah
  • Borussia Monchengladbach is out to foil Crystal Palace's bid for Nketiah

Eddie Nketiah is nearing the end of his deal with Arsenal, and at least two teams are waiting for him once that happens.

Crystal Palace, a team that tried to pluck him out of the Gunners’ clutches before, is reportedly back in the mix according to a report by Calciomercato.

But at that time, the Gunners set a £20 million ($27 million) asking price for Nketiah, and the deal fell through.

However, the Glaziers are not the only ones keeping tabs with Nketiah.

According to another report from Calciomercato, Borussia Monchengladbach is also interested in the 22-year-old striker.

With Nketiah failing to make the grade and get ample exposure under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, an imminent exit looms.

Most see him as someone oozing with talent, but unleashing all that may not be meant to happen at the Emirates Stadium.

He showed signs of brilliance with the Gunners when he teamed up with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup. That included a goal in the second half.

However, consistency has been an issue in Arteta giving Nketiah ample playing time.

With other Gunners stepping up and playing better, the best scenario would be to see the English striker take his act to another team that could hand him better exposure.

As mentioned in a previous post, no less than Arteta believes in the talent Nketiah has.

“I have full belief that he is going to be a top player and hopefully at Arsenal. I am happy to have him on the team. He is our player and I consider him and regard him really highly, and from my side, I want him to stay,” Arteta said via the team’s official website.
