KEY POINTS

  • Harrison's permanent move to Leeds United may happen soon
  • Harrison's sale could help add more funds to Tottenham's bid for Kane and Grealish
  • Leeds United is expected to go after more players this summer

Having spent the last three years on loan at Elland Road, Jack Harrison has already proven his stock.

A permanent stay could all come to fruition soon--with reports that Leeds United and Manchester City are working on a deal that could be sealed soon.

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is reported keen on making the move permanent, with Harrison seen as a surplus requirement for the Sky Blues.

Harrison has made 36 appearances with Leeds United last season, where he scored eight goals and the same number of assists.

In all, Harrison has made a good account of himself while on loan. But it appears the effort has failed to meet the standards of Manchester City.

This all the more pushes for the deal to make sense and give the 24-year-old a permanent team to represent.

The Citizens are seeking £15 million (over $20 million) for Harrison, an amount that could come in handy in their pursuit this summer transfer window.

Two big names are on that list, particularly Harry Kane and Jack Grealish. These intentions are expected to gain more ground once the English duo wraps up their stint at Euro 2020.

The Sky Blues have reportedly already made a move for Kane, offering a staggering £100 million ($138 million) to Tottenham.

The 27-year-old has already sent feelers that he is ready to move on from the North London outfit after 336 appearances and no trophies to show.

The only problem is that Tottenham and Aston Villa are not immediately interested in selling Kane and Grealish.

However, the big money on the table could alter the course.

As for Leeds United, they are looking to improve their ninth-place finish last season. They were able to add Raphinha last season but know that more help is needed.

Aside from Harrison, other names that Bielsa reportedly had in mind include Junior Firpo.

As mentioned in a previous report, Leeds United has joined the race for the services of the 24-year-old fullback but on loan.

Other teams in pursuit of the Spaniard include Milan, Southampton and West Ham United.

The bad news for Leeds United is that Barcelona is allegedly entertaining permanent deals as they try to get their financial situation in order.
