  • Newcastle United is looking to boost their midfield with Kamara and Brozovic
  • Newcastle plans to overtake AC Milan and RB Leipzig in the chase for Kamara
  • Brozovic and Kamara can sign pre-contracts this January

Boubacar Kamara of Olympique de Marseille may not be a household name, but he is still young and has shown promise.

However, the most glaring fact about the 21-year-old is that he is a midfielder who would not cost much money.

It appears this is the reason why multiple teams have been linked to the French midfielder.

Among those mentioned include AC Milan and RB Leipzig, two teams in serious pursuit of Kamara. However, a new club has joined the fray.

Newcastle United has allegedly joined the race for Kamara, who is considered one of the best young players out of France at the moment according to a report from Il Milanista.

Kamara is one of the bright spots for Les Minots, already racking up 133 appearances in Ligue 1. Hence, it comes as no surprise that Steve Bruce has rekindled interest in him.

Bruce already had his eyes on him last summer, according to the Mirror. He was trying to beat out Liverpool and Manchester City for Kamara, but a deal never materialized.

The French footballer is valued at roughly £15 million ($20.6 million).

Things could be different in the January transfer window where even non-French teams can try and pluck him from Stade Velodrome on a pre-contract.

He could be a key acquisition as Newcastle United ramps up its rebuilding plans with money to spend, thanks to its new backers.

Kamara is not the only one linked to a potential move to the Magpies. There is also Inter Milan defender Marcelo Brozovic.

Brozovic’s contract is set to expire next summer and will be free to negotiate a pre-contract in January.

I Nerazzurri can still try to work something out, but they are urged to act fast.
