  • Ismaila Sarr draws interest from Tottenham
  • Watford is expected to command a hefty price tag
  • Sarr's play has been likened to Lionel Messi

Tottenham has reportedly joined the chase for Ismailia Sarr of Watford FC to hone up their offense.

But with a hefty asking price set by the Hornets, it will be interesting if the Spurs will be successful in their reported plans.

The interest in Sarr was reported by EuroSport, appending the list of teams interested in the services of the 23-year-old Senegalese.

It comes as no surprise that Sarr is on the radar of many clubs. With the Senegalese providing Watford a big boost back into the English top-flight, it has drawn comparisons with Lionel Messi.

Other teams who have expressed interest in him include Manchester United and Liverpool. However, nothing has gained ground.

Now, the Spurs are hoping to pull off something. But the last say still depends on Watford.

It seems apparent that the Hornets are not too keen on letting the Senegalese player go easy. Sarr is valued at £50 million ($69 million).

But given the talent and what Sarr can do, he is worth every penny in the eyes of critics.

“He’s a game-winner, even when we’re not playing that well, he’s like our Messi,” teammate Andre Gray said to the Watford Observer. “He is one of the players that you just give him the ball, and just let him do what he’s doing.”
