KEY POINTS

  • Alexandre Lacazette is counting down his days at the Emirates Stadium
  • Newcastle United has Lacazette on their radar
  • Lacazette has already instructed his agent to look for potential landing spots

Alexandre Lacazette may have pushed Arsenal past Crystal Palace, but the French forward’s mind appears to have been made.

Per reports, the 30-year-old footballer has ordered his agent to find him a new club next summer once his current deal with the Gunners runs out.

Lacazette has eight months remaining in his current deal with Arsenal. While it seems far off, there is a possibility he could leave as early as January if he agrees to a pre-contract with some other club.

Based on reports, he is not short on options. Roma and Atletico Madrid were linked to the French footballer last summer, but no deal fell through.

Come this January, both may revisit a potential deal. But this time, there are other clubs expected to join the fray.

Among the teams mentioned as having an interest in Lacazette in the next transfer window include Juventus and Sevilla, ESPN reported.

Inter Milan is another club to watch, according to Gazetta dello Sport. However, Lacazette could also be a pawn in a potential swap with Youssef En-Nesyri of Sevilla, per La Razon.

Another team that could make a swoop of Lacazette is Newcastle United. The team is under new management with plans to make a big splurge in the January transfer window.

As mentioned in a previous post, Lacazette is allegedly one of the names on the Magpies's shortlist.

Lacazette has appeared in just 72 minutes in six games with the Gunner this season thus far. He has yet to get a starting nod from head coach Mikel Arteta, and that does not look promising as of this writing.
