A twin-engine Cessna 441 plane crashed south of Argyle in Denton County, Texas, an official with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said late Wednesday. The plane was reportedly approaching the Denton Municipal Airport when it crashed, CBS News reported.

The plane’s pilot was killed in the incident, a local report said. But, authorities did not confirm the condition of the pilot or the possibility of occupants on board.

First-responders from Denton County and Flower Mound, a town about 23 miles south of the airport, were reportedly heading to the scene, close to Highway 377, near Cross Timbers Community Church, about 10 miles south of Denton airport.

Argyle Fire Department was also at the crash site, reports said, adding that FAA investigators reportedly arrived at the scene and are investigating the incident.
