Veteran UFC fighter Diego Sanchez sent an epic message to his upcoming UFC 239 opponent Michael Chiesa.

Widely known in mma as “The Nightmare,” UFC veteran Diego Sanchez has once again provided the fans something to remember about ahead of his UFC 239 fight with Michael Chiesa. Shortly after the UFC 239 press conference and an intense face-off with Chiesa, Sanchez spoke to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani to talk about his legacy and what he thinks about his next fight. Sanchez started answering Helwani’s questions very calmly for a couple of minutes until all of a sudden, the 37-year-old veteran fighter started acting a little strangely.

Sanchez first vented about the fact that between him and Chiesa, he is viewed as an underdog and that everybody has written him off his entire career, including the UFC itself. “Michael Chiesa has written me off as many other men have written me off, as the Vegas oddsmakers have written me off, as the UFC has time and time again and time again written me off. As they have written me off to not be the Ultimate Fighter winner. I have been written off my whole career. And he [Chiesa] writes me off as this old man,” Sanchez said.

The original Ultimate Fighter then continued by emphasizing that Chiesa is not fighting an old guy but a “Jedi.” Sanchez also mentioned that he’s a real man and a wise man.

“I ain’t this old guy, man, I’m not the old guy, I’m the Jedi. You’re gonna see a change. You don’t get the old man, you get the real man, the wise man,” Sanchez pointed out.

This is not the first time Sanchez has talked this way in front of the media, as a matter of fact, Sanchez has earned himself a reputation of always having an intense and strange staredowns and interviews.

Just recently, Sanchez went a little too deep in detailing what he has done to a younger opponent Mickey Gall in an interview with MMA Junkie noted.

“I gave him about five good knees to the anus and affected the hemorrhoidal system. That might have been why he had kidney failure in the fight, because all of the blood was down there in the lower region of his body. Them kidneys were just [slurping noise] sucking for that blood,” Sanchez detailed.

Diego Sanchez is set to face Michael Chiesa tomorrow in UFC 239 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
